Founding:
Our history dates back to 1985, the year Dr. Roberto Manuel Assael founded Clínica Médica Internacional in Mexico City. This first step marked the beginning of a care model based on medical excellence and innovation—principles that established the foundation of CMI’s leadership in migration medicine.
That same year, the U.S. Embassy in Mexico announced that residency visa processing would be consolidated at the U.S. Consulate General in Ciudad Juárez. This decision gave rise to the plan to relocate Clínica Médica Internacional to Ciudad Juárez, a project that would be formally consolidated two years later.
