Before scheduling your medical appointment
- Make sure have the medical exam request from IRCC (contains IME, UCI or EMR) or Medical Upfront (work, student, visitors)
Requirements for your consular medical exam
- Make sure you hace the medical exam request from IRCC (contains IME, UCI or EMR) or Medical Upfront (Work, student and visitors).
- Original valid passport; if you do not have a passport, present an original official identification and a copy.
- If you are taking medication or undergoing medical treatment, you must bring a letter from your doctor, your medication and your prescription(s). It is not necessary to stop taking any medication.
- If you had surgery in the last 5 years or suffer form chronic illnes, please bring a medical summary that is less than 3 months old (with diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, on letterhead and in Enlish or French).
- Minors under 18 years old, must be accompanied by one of their parents or the petitioner. If one of the parents or petitioner cannot attend, the must send a notarized power of attorney with the notary’s seal and signature.
- If you wear glasess, it is important to bring them with you on the day of your medical exam.
- You can have a light breakfast, such as juice, yogurt, or fruit.
Get ready for your appointment:
- Wear comfortable clothing and no accesories.
- We offer free transportation from your accommodation or the airport to our clinic. Schedule transportation here.
- If you come by car, we have free parking.
- If you have companions, we have a spacious and comfortable waiting room within our facilities.
- If you are a senior citizen or a person with special needs, you can come accompanied by a family member who knows your medical history to assist you; they can accompany you throughout the entire process.

- Prices include VAT and are shown in US dollars and Mexican pesos at the Exchange rate of the day according to the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).
Medical exam hours:
Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 11:00 am
- If you arrive before or after your appointment, we will attend to you as soon as possible.
How are your results delivered?
All the results are sent directly to the official Government of Canada system, on the next day.
Payment options for your consular medical exam
- We accept payments in US dollars or mexican pesos.
- You can pay in cash, credit or debit card (VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS)
- Payment for your exam is due on the day of your appointment; At CMI, we do not require any advance payment until the process is complete.
