Before scheduling your medical appointment
- Be sure to have your Application Form with your NZER or NZHR number, if you have one.
Requirements for your consular medical exam
- Application form with your NZER or NZHR number, if you already have one.
- Valid passport with at least one year of validity (original).
- For minors under 16 years of age, identification of the parent or guardian.
- For children under 5 years of age, it is mandatory to present the original official vaccination record, newborn screening results, and hospital discharge certificate.
- If you are currently undergoing medical treatment or have recently had surgery, please present your prescription or medical summary.
- For applicants over 15 years of age, a 6-hour fast is required (no liquids or solids).
- Minors under 18 years old, must be accompanied by one of their parents or the petitioner. If one of the parents or petitioner cannot attend, the must send a notarized power of attorney with the notary’s seal and signature.
- If you wear glasess, it is important to bring them with you on the day of your medical exam.
Get ready for your appointment:
- Wear comfortable clothing and no accesories.
- We offer free transportation from your accommodation or the airport to our clinic. Schedule transportation here.
- If you come by car, we have free parking.
- If you have companions, we have a spacious and comfortable waiting room within our facilities.
- If you are a senior citizen or a person with special needs, you can come accompanied by a family member who knows your medical history to assist you; they can accompany you throughout the entire process.
- Women should not come for the medical exam while menstruating to avoid contamination of the urine test.
- If you are taking any medication do not stop taking it; it will not affect your results in any way.

- Prices include VAT and are shown in US dollars and Mexican pesos at the Exchange rate of the day according to the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF)
Medical exam hours:
Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 11:00 am
- If you arrive before or after your appointment, we will attend to you as soon as possible.
How are your results delivered?
All the results are sent directly to the New Zealand immigration department, on the next day.
Payment options for your consular medical exam
- We accept payments in US dollars or mexican pesos.
- You can pay in cash, credit or debit card (VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS)
- Payment for your exam is due on the day of your appointment; At CMI, we do not require any advance payment until the process is complete.
